    The Opportunity

    Ortho Clinical Diagnostics is recruiting for a Clinical Laboratories Business Manager (CLBM) sales specialist for the Pacific North Region, supporting territories that cover Alaska, Washington, Oregon, Northern California, Nevada, Utah, Idaho, Montana and part of Wyoming. Candidates must live within the territory. This is a remote position.



    The Responsibilities

    • Effectively gain access to competitive accounts with the ability to effectively tailor messaging strategies to the laboratory, procurement and C-suite in the hospital setting.
    • Demonstrate Healthcare market and Clinical Laboratory expertise and effectively align Ortho Clinical Diagnostics Value Proposition to industry drivers.
    • Experience selling In Vitro diagnostic laboratory product portfolios utilizing competitive expertise to develop winning strategies and a successful track-record of competitive conversions in the Clinical Laboratory
    • Deliver insightful sales messages which will enable our customers in achieving defined business/technical goals.
    • Develop sales process strategy to win competitive business and guide internal cross functional sales process with Account Manager, Health System Executive, Regional Sales Manager and technical staff.
    • Proficient in Territory Management and prioritization based on sales analytics and market drivers.
    • Influentially lead best practice sharing within region and actively partner with the Regional Sales Manager to enhance the development of Account Managers.
    • Assist Regional Sales Manager in leading business planning and forecasting strategy within the team.
    • Assist in working industry meetings, trade-shows and customer sales events.


    The Individual

    • Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Business, Life Science, or related field or equivalent experience.
    • Minimum of 5 years of experience selling capital equipment is required
    • Experience in the healthcare industry is required
    • Experience selling in the Clinical Laboratory Diagnostics market is preferred.
    • Must have a strong 3-year performance track-record rated within the top 10% of the company.
    • Must be an expert on the healthcare market and changes within the industry.
    • Must have experience leading and executing a complex sales process in an influential leadership capacity.
    • Must have successful negotiation, organizational and time management skills.
    • Must have an entrepreneurial spirit, business acumen, and a desire to sell competitively in a highly concentrated IDN market.
    • Excellent written and oral communication skills in addition to proven and effective presentation skills are required.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook
    • Ability to travel up to approximately 30-50% (about 1.5-2.5 overnights per week)
    • Must reside in the Pacific North territory as described above
